Hello, I’m Meg Morrow, a writer based in Huntsville, Alabama.
Technical communication is an area that enhances any organization and I want to offer my knowledge and perspectives to you.
About Me
I found technical writing by accident and can't believe I get to (basically) read for a living! I consider William Howard Taft’s famous words, “Don’t write so that you can be understood, write so that you can’t be misunderstood,” to be the basics of my Professional Philosophy. In addition to my duties as a technical writer, I provide significant support to the projects/division I am assigned to. I am adaptable to fill various roles within an organization, as demonstrated in my resume.
I enjoy traveling, watercolors, reading, and my 1956 Ford Parklane station wagon. I had lived within 30 minutes of the Mexico border for most of my life prior to moving to Alabama. As such, I'm passionate about good Mexican food—something that's severely lacking in the Southeast! During quarantine, I decided to teach myself to cook all of my favorite dishes—caldo de res, calabacitas, and green chile enchiladas. In my free time, I am renovating a historic, mid-century fire station into my family home.
“Despite juggling simultaneous tasks, Meg was able to interpret what the customer wanted in terms of the final deliverables, delegate work based on subject matter expertise, provide valuable input that guided the direction of the documents, and polish the final products into usable documentation for future use by software development programs. Over the course of the project, she demonstrated her analytical and research abilities, intellectual independence, interpersonal skills, maturity, and oral and written communication experience.”
